SOUND ABSORPTION

When Varion canopy is finally positioned into place both sides of a panel perform as a sound absorber considering its one side surface of 2,1 m2, by that can be doubled to 4,2 m2 of sound absorbing surface. Depending on product selection by using one or both sides as an absorber we can achieve between 1,93 and 2,94 Sabin (m2) sound absorption at 1kHz (EN ISO 354). SOUND REFLECTION

Using an un-perforated and plain, sound reflecting surface we are able to achieve the absolute opposite effect and use Varion canopy for focusing, diffusing or reflecting sound.

LIGHT REFLECTION

Energy saving is lately frequently considered material technical benefit, directly connected as well with environment protection.
The ceiling surface light reflecting values are of great importance for efficiency of lighting systems and consequently electrical power consumption.
Due to the fact that Canopy is used in space for local acoustic correction above working spaces it is the ideal element for integration of a direct light source or using its shape for indirect lighting.
Finally it is proven that a combination of both, direct and indirect light, it is most appreciated at the work place, where an ergonomic and healthy working environment is considered and finally can be as well totally independent from general illumination of an open office.

EASY MAINTAINANCE

All DURA laminations can be easily cleaned with a mild non-soapy detergent and a soft cloth, sponge or soft bristled brush to prevent build up of dirt and staining.
Limited range of Durafort laminations have additional Bio-block treatment, a powerful antimicrobial and anti-fungal agent for use in areas where hygiene plays a major role.
